We have a new swim coach joining us from October 5th on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6pm.
Jack’s provided us with a short bio about himself and his involvement in triathlons, enjoy!
“Most people come to the sport of triathlons having once been a rider or runner. I was always a swimmer. I think I used to be able to swim further than I could run. Having once weighed 180kg my first ever fitness goal was to be able to run 3.5km. I’m personally now training for the Melbourne Ironman and hoping to qualify for the half Ironman world championships. I have just completed my final assignment for the Ironman coaching accreditation, currently studying sports coaching at Victoria University, completing my cert 3-4 in fitness through Woodford sport science consulting and will be completing my Australian Sports Coaching Association level 1 in strength and conditioning in November, I’m also an open water swimmer and did surf life saving for 8 years.”
